Being performed at High Street Methodist Church Everybody welcome.
This will be performed by the three Circuit choirs (Thames Valley Voices, Maidenhead Church Choir and the Windsor Choir). To be conducted by Anthony Nicholls from Maidenhead. Organist: Paul Leddington-Wright, known to many as appearing on BBC’s ‘Songs of Praise’. Hot cross buns to follow.
This well-known Victorian oratorio was once sung regularly in almost all churches in the country. Stainer's rich and emotive music includes congregational hymns, many of which (for example "All for Jesus") we still sing today.
Parking is free on a Sunday at the Nicholson Centre and we look forward to seeing you there. Any singers who are already familiar with the work and would like to join the choir for the service should speak to Anthony Nicholls or Revd Vicci. There will be no Evening Service at Windsor that evening.
